As a consultancy in the design phase, Neikō develops a structure composed of a steel frame system as the main structure, on which composite floor slabs are arranged. The solution maintains the exterior stone walls of the house and the wooden roof trusses.

The steel structure allows the creation of a diaphanous space on the first floor, which allows for maximizing the use of the first floor as commercial premises and the first and second floors as a dwelling.

The complexity of this work lies in the need to maintain the roof at all times. Neikō develops a construction system that allows the progressive replacement of the existing structure floor by floor, supporting it on the new metal pillars, and allowing the preservation of the wooden trusses of the roof that are not dismantled at any time during the execution.

In addition, the entire system of joints on the structure is designed to allow the placing of the metal profiles in place through the openings in the walls on the first floor, with the dimension limitation that this entails.
