In this project, Neikō has acted as a consultant in charge of developing the structural part of the project for a new hotel in O Pino (Santiago de Compostela), made entirely of cross-laminated pine timber panels (CLT) placed over a concrete foundation consisting of a basement and a foundation slab.

With 120 square meters in floor plan and a total height of 8.15 meters above ground level, distributed between the first floor, the second floor and the elevator machinery room. The structure of the hotel is a technical challenge being executed entirely in CLT wood panels fixed by bolted joints and metal fittings and having several cantilevered areas on the second floor.

The final structural solution is executed through a concrete slab on the first floor, part foundation slab, and part basement slab. The wooden structure rests on this foundation. All the elements on the wooden structure are load-bearing, consisting of a series of CLT wall panels on which the floor slabs rest, also made of CLT panels.
